Biopsy Channel

The passage forceps, snares and haemostasis tools travel through. A PTFE inner layer keeps friction low; an ePTFE outer layer takes repeated flexing and cleaning.

FAQ

What diameters does the insertion tube cover?

The published range is OD 0.8 – 6.8 mm and ID 0.5 – 6.0 mm. Anything outside that is agreed from your drawing.

Can we choose the jacket material?

TPU, PA12 and PEBAX are available, and durometer can be stepped along the length so the distal end is softer.

Why is the biopsy channel two layers?

The PTFE inner layer lowers instrument friction and the ePTFE outer layer takes repeated flexing and cleaning. One material rarely does both well.

How thin can the bending rubber go?

Down to a 0.1 mm wall. The serpentine profile holds its shape even that thin.

Does it hold up in the cold?

Bending rubber stays elastic to −35 °C, so cold storage or air transport is not an issue.

Can we source all three together?

Yes. Send an assembly drawing and we quote insertion tube, biopsy channel and bending rubber as one package.
